Chocolate Ice Cream

The love of ice cream runs deep in our family and my little girl LOVES it!  I wonder if it has anything to do with all the ice cream I ate while I was pregnant with her?  Now what else does this little girl love more than ice cream?  Chocolate!  So when you give her chocolate ice cream she is sooo happy.  Daddy decided to give her full control of a bowl of chocolate ice cream one night and this is the end product that I found!

Maybe I can get some more on my spoon.

Yes, I got some!

Mmmm...that's good.

What?

Maybe I dripped on the bottom of the bowl.

Found some...yum!

(Don't worry Aimee....I think I finally got all of the chocolate out of Abby's shirt!)

Another baby cousin!

My kids have another first cousin to play with, Caleb Charles.  My adorable nephew, was born to my amazing sister and brother in-law on June 24th at 11:01a.m., weighin in at 7lbs 8oz and measuring 19.5 inches long.  He was also welcomed home by his proud, big brother Jacob!

Proud Mommy

The kis were excited to meet their new baby cousin, especially Denver.  We went to meet him the day after he was born, but only got a short amount of time with him due to the fact I had to be on call for work that night.  It was worth the trip though as it made me content that I had at least gotten to snuggle up this new little bundle whom I love so very much!  Denver didn't want to share Caleb much with me...he just held him and stared at him.  Since our firstr trip we have been back to visit twice and its amazing how much love Denver has for both of his cousins!  He wants to hold Caleb and love on him and he wants to run and play with his "friend" Jacob.  When its nap time Denver always says, but I want to be with my "friend"!  It is going to be so fun watching these cousins grow up, forming a relationship with each other, and oh all the mischief they will cause together!  The first couple times Makenna wasn't as in to Caleb, but enjoyed keeping up with Jacob and Denver.  The last time we went to visit Makenna was all about "baby" and she wanted to steal his paci!

Our babies that got our looks!

Cousins

Water Babies!

Our children (like most) love water!  They hear the sound of water and they have to find where its coming from.  As the summers gone on we've spent more and more time in the pool and going to the pools in the area.  Denver has gotten more and more brave as well.  Makenna has always been maybe a little too brave.  When we go to the city pools she walks around goes down the slide, etc, nothing holds her back, not even when she looses her footing and dives face first in the water!  She doesn't care!  Here are a couple pictures of the kids enjoying our pool in the back yard.

They are the best of friends and usually play so nice together!

Going down the slide!

Being silly and going backwards!

Getting brave......going down head first.

And again...

and again!
And some from a night at the pool as a family.

4th of July

We went out to Evan's parents farm for the 4th of July where we enjoyed a wonderful meal, fellowship with family, a game of kick ball, and of course fireworks!  Denver had fun doing sparklers again this year and of course he thought he needed to light big fireworks too!  Daddy helped him light a couple little ones to make him content.  Both of the kids enjoyed watching the fireworks and ooed and ahhed over them.  Once again I did terrible getting my camera out and capturing the moments.  One of these days I'm going to get better at this again!

1st Carasouel Ride

We've been running a little too crazy here lately that I'm almost a month behind again!  July 3rd, we took the kids to the zoo.  Since I've already posted zoo pictures I decided to just share the carasouel pictures.  I believe this was Makenna's first carasouel ride.  The only other time I can think of that could've been her first is if we took her on one as a baby at the fair last year, but I don't think so.  According to Evan she was a bit hesitant at first, but I didn't pick up on that.  She loved it once it got going, that's for sure!

Of course Denver and Daddy had to ride too!
