Kindt Family Chirstmas 2010

The following night, December 23rd we celebrated Christmas with Evan's dad's side of the family.  We always laugh about "gift time" with this family as its a free for all.  It doesn't take long and every one is done and you don't have a clue of what anyone got or who they got it from! :)  This year trying to keep track of 2 kids ripping through presents like this I had a bit of a moment where I just had to scream because I couldn't keep track of their stuff.  Of course this evening was filled with another delicious meal for us to overfill our tummies on and their was some time of playing wii.

Christmas with Evan's (Immediate) Family

On the 22nd we had Christmas with Evan's immediate family.  This Christmas will probably be one that Makenna gets teased about for years.  She LOVES cats and she drug this poor cat around the house for quite some time.  Unfortunately, this cat didn't learn its lesson and later road home under our vehicle (along with another cat friend) unbeknown to us and greeted me at the garage door the following morning.  The kids were tickled pink, but later this one went missing.

Showing Uncle Aaron the nice kitty.

The kids had a blast opening presents following a wonderful meal of steak and twice baked potatoes and lots of other yummy food that we all over ate on.

Giving Grandpa David a hug as a thank you for one of his many presents.

A new tea set from Uncle Trevor and Aunt Lauren!

A soccer set (goals and ball) from Uncle Aaron!

I think this was her 2nd (out of 3 or 4) bowl of ice cream!
Hmm...wonder if her love for ice cream has anything to do with how much I ate of it while I was pregnant with her!

Yippee, more!

 Really?  For me?!

So happy!

Christmas with the Schaaps

On December 19th our Christmas' began!  After naps we joined Evan's mom's side of the family at his grandparents house where we had more than enough yummy food and great fellowship as a family.  We continued on the "present exchange game" which is always a lot of fun.  The kids got a couple presents from everyone as they're too little to play yet.  Here are some pictures to mark Christmas 2010 with the Schaap family.

They can even open a gift together! :)
How long will that last before they start yelling at each other to not help them!

Christmas Cookie Making Time with Friends!

December 16th, we had some friends over to make cookies.  (On a side note: As I'm typing this I'm recalling that Makenna came down with a runny nose the week prior to this and she's STILL sick.  This makes me realize how long she's really been sick!  So please also add her to your prayers.  She's already been on antibiotics and done a round of rocephin shots.)  It was great to be able to spend time with friends and make yummy cookies and treats to enjoy during this Christmas holiday.

My dear friend Kirstie was brave and helped the kids do the cut outs for the sugar cookies.
Denver took the most interest in this.  He loves helping in the kitchen.

Kirstie's adorable daughter, Grace.  She mostly watched, but did manage to get flour in her hair!

Berkley a good friend of the kids.
Berk and her mommy Ashley (a good friend of mine) came to make cookies too.

After naps we frosted the cookies, just the kids & I.
This was a bit of a daunting task to me.

Kenna still waking up, but happy to have a cookie with FROSTING!
