Denver's 1st Christmas Program

Denver had his first Christmas Program at our Church December 12, 2010.  We were a little unsure if he'd actually go up and sing for the program as he didn't cooperate for practice earlier that morning, but he did it and we were so proud of him!  His Sunday school class sang "Away in the Manger" and did a little "finger play".  Denver hasn't been much of a singer, and pretty much only sang a John Deere song prior to this, but we were able to teach him "Away in the Manger" and since then has really started to take an interest in singing.  We surprised Daddy with the "Abcs" last night!  Here are some pictures from the night of his program along with a video.  Enjoy!

The best I could do for a picture of them by the tree.

Neither wanted to cooperate for a picture.

At Church, getting in there places and ready to sing.

Rock that baby Denver! :)

And finally....live action!
(Not great video footage, but some thing and it seemed once I got it on the computer you had to turn the volume up)

Makenna's Baby Dedication

We had Makenna's baby dedication last Sunday. It was a beautiful day and went very smoothly. We were also very blessed to share this day with so many family members and our Church family. Our new head pastor, Dr. Kimlyn Bender dedicated Makenna and our Children's Ministry Director Shelly Haan participated in her dedication as well. We appreciate and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as we raise Makenna (and Denver) to know and serve God. I tried downloading the video of the dedication part of the Church service on Sunday, but it was too long and wouldn't download, sorry!
