Turner County Fair

Denver had a blast at the Turner County Fair and I'm sure he can't wait until next year to go again! He loved the rides and never wanted to get off one to go to the next. Needless to say we heard the word "more" quite a bit on the way home!
When we first got to the fair we had to check out Ethan's pigs!
After we ate supper we went to Old MacDonald's farm
Denver loved seeing all of the animals
"Oh my goodness this looks so fun!"
"When is it my turn?!" (Notice he's jumping...I suppose about a month ago Denver learned how to get some "air" when he jumped....it's so fun watching him learn how to do things we take forgranted every day. Denver's now working on mastering the opening of a door knob)
"Beep, beep"
Makenna looks like she's sad because she doesn't get to ride! :)
The choo-choo train just may have been Denver's favorite ride.
This is so fun!
Mom even got to go on a ride with Denver
There was a talking police car that Denver thought was cool and ran up to and talked to for a little bit.
Denver got to pick up a duck and in turn he won a new bat a ball. Watch out...he's a good hitter!
More fun on the cars!
a ride on the dragon
...and back to the choo-choo train!

Fourth of July

This year we spent the 4th of July in Garretson with the Kindt's. Evan went golfing in the morning with his Aunt and Uncle, cousins, and brother. Then the kids and I met up with him for lunch and then we went home to get naps in for the kids before we went to Garretson for fireworks.
We had lunch at the Pizza Ranch in Brandon and they have a game room that Denver had a lot of fun in with his cousins. Here are some pictures.
Riding the firetruck with Ernie and Bert
Riding a motorcycle with Daddy
And here are some pictures from our evening at Uncle Bryce's and Aunt Cherie's where the kids did fireworks and then we watched the town display.
Grandpa Keith giving Makenna a kiss!
Uncle Aaron, Grandpa Keith, Mommy, and Makenna
Makenna sat on my lap during the fireworks, but she spent most of the time eating instead of enjoying the display of fireworks.
Denver sat on Daddy's lap for a majority of the display
Great Aunt Cherie introduced sparklers to Denver! As you can tell from the following pictures he thought they were great! He also realized they were hot so he was telling us "hot".
We hope every one had a happy and safe 4th of July!
