We went to Lake Okoboji to celebrate GG Lu and GG Lloyd's 50th Anniversary. It was nice to have another opportunity to get away from home to spend with family and to have some R&R time.
One late morning we went down to the beach to play. Denver wasn't quite sure what to think of the lake. He liked it, but then he also seemed scared (which really isn't a bad thing!) and the water was a little chilly.

Some R&R at the beach.

We stayed at Bridges Bay Resort. We had 2 different "units" for about 20 of us. The first night we went out to Minerva's (Grandpa and Grandma's treat...Thank you again!) and the rest of the time we ate at the resort. In each unit there was 3 bedrooms (2 separate rooms that each had 2 queen size beds and 1 room that had a king sized bed) and then a dining room/living room and kitchen area. There were very nice and provided us with all our needs. It was a little easier thank camping in the fact that we had a kitchen right there for milk and washing sippy cups and things and we didn't have to worry so much about the kids being in the sun too much as they weren't outside all the time. Denver had a blast playing with his Aunt Emily and all of his cousins. I wish I had done better at taking pictures, but it just seems I'm always busy and when I have the chance I sit back and relax instead of thinking about running after every one some more to get pictures!

And we're off!
Denver's first ride on the jet ski.
As a family we rented a jet ski for the day so more people could be out enjoying the lake at the same time.
Hanging out on the dock while waiting turns for the boat or jet ski.

Denver loved his ride on the jet ski so much Jamie and Morgan had to take him on their ride too.
Happy Anniversary Grandpa Lloyd and Grandma Lu!
