Prayer Request

Sorry, no pictures this time. I just want to get as many people praying as I possibly can for my dear little friend Jovie. I had helped them start a blog for her awhile back, but haven't been able to "teach" them how to really update/etc so it just has the intital blog, but it tells a little about her and her link is on my sidebar with the blogs that I follow. Anyway, I just got an update that she's on her way to Pittsburgh to get her transplant. This is huge for this little girl. It's so exciting, but so scary at the same time. Please pray for safe travels, to keep Jovie calm (and her family) through all of this as it will be scary to go to a new place, etc. Also please pray for the family who had to lose a loved one so Jovie could benefit from their organs. Keep the doctors, nurses, and everyone else involved in Jovie's care in your prayers also, so that everthing goes well and that Jovie and her family can feel God's presence with them. Thank you for all your prayers!

Just found an update on Jovie "Hello Everyone, I don't know how better to spread the word so will use this space. Kathy called at 11:20 Central Time to say they were giving Jovie her meds and getting ready to take her to the OR. Her organs were on their way. They will be using the entire intestinal tract, not just the small bowel. They say this turns out better for them. Hugs to all of Jovie's family. PRAY"
So PLEASE, PLEASE keep praying for her.

A little more on little Miss Jovie. Thanks for all your prayers thus far!

"Jovie's surgery went until about 2:30 am. Everything went very well. The new organs fit very well. The doctors say if everything keeps going this well, they can sew up the muscle by the weekend and maybe wake our little Jovie up. Jovie will be kept sedated for a few days, which is good for her and the doctors can watch to make sure everything is going well.

Mike and Kathy were able to get a sleeping room at the hospital. They were able to get some sleep, and a lot more comfortable than a waiting room. Mike told me they were going to go see Jovie after he was done with phone calls.

What a miracle, my heart goes out to the family of the child donor, and all of our thanks for the gift they have chosen to give. THANK YOU

GOODMORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!

WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY. JOVIE IS DOING GREAT. ALL OF OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED WHEN WE CAME TO PA. ON THE FLIGHT I TOLD JOVIE THAT WE WERE TAKING HER TO GET HER TUMMY FIXED AND AS YOU ALL KNOW JO HER REPLY WAS "NO". THIS TIME I WON THAT BATTLE !!EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT AND THE DOC'S SAID THEY WILL START WAKING HER UP LATER THIS WEEKEND. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND MOST OF ALL, YOUR PRAYERS. GOD WAS LISTENING. WE WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED. OUR LOVE TO ALL"
